Toseina 2mg/ml 250ml Solucion Oral is intended to treat the symptoms of a dry cough in adults and adolescents older than 12 years old. Codeine is not advised for usage in teenagers over the age of 12 to treat cough in those with respiratory issues.

Indications

Associations that deal with irritable or ineffective coughing. They contain expectorants and the analgesic and antidiarrheal drug codeine (also known as dihydrocodeinone or dihydrocodeine), which works centrally on the bulbar cough centers. At low doses, like those found in these relationships, codeine has a strong antitussive effect; at large quantities, analgesic effects are felt. The dose will be decided individually based on the patient’s clinical profile and medical requirements.

Precautions Toseina

Category C: Potentially dangerous during pregnancy; weigh benefits and risks. Third-trimester Category D: Use only as a last option due to obvious fetal risk.

At typical doses, breastfeeding is probably safe.

Sedation and drug dependency may result from them.

Composition

Each 5 ml:

10 milligrams of codeine (as phosphate)

30 mg of pseudoephedrine HCl

2 mg of chlorpheniramine maleate
