Oxydolor 80 mg (Oxycodone hydrochloride) sold under the brand names  OxyContin (which is the extended-release form) among others, is a semi-synthetic opioid used medically for the treatment of moderate to severe pain.

Dosage

Oral. Dosage depends on pain intensity and individual patient response. Adults and adolescents 12 years and older . The usual starting dose for opioid-naive patients is 10 mg of oxycodone administered every 12 hours. Some patients may respond to a 5 mg starting dose, which reduces the incidence of side effects. Patients already taking opioids may begin treatment with higher doses, taking into account their previous experience with opioid therapy.
